Lest you think I’m sitting on my couch eating bon-bons when I’m not updating my blog, I thought it might be a good idea to compile a list of the other places where you can read my work. In case you’re interested. No pressure.
Mostly you’ll find me at:
- The old Ahimsa Mama – In April 2011 I moved from Blogspot to my current blog spot, but there is still some good stuff over there
- Humane Connection - I have a fairly regular gig with the blog of the Institute for Humane Education (where I earned my M.Ed.)
- Rhythms: The Blog of Wellspring Community School - I maintained a blog for my daughter’s old school which, sadly, closed it’s doors in June 2011
- Woman in Washington: The Policy Blog of the National Association of Women’s Centers - run by my witty and brilliant friend Valerie Young, I have done a dozen or so guests posts for her
My print publications include:
- On Being a Parenting Original (Mothering, March/April 2008)
- Raising a Humane Child (Natural Life Magazine, May/June 2009)
- Every Birth is Natural (The Attached Family, Spring 2009)
- Overcoming Fear and Moving Forward (Education Revolution, Summer 2010, reprinted in Natural Life Magazine, November/December 2010)
- My Master’s Thesis, Developing a Humane Ethic Towards People, Other Animals and the Environment in 18- to 36-Month-Old Children: A Handbook for Parents (catchy, right?)
Random guest posts I’ve done:
- Babywearing for Beginners
- Banana Peels and Beach Parties
- Boys “In Crisis” and Biological Imperatives
- At Laundry Line Divine
- The REAL Opt-Out Revolution
- Survival Through Compassion
- Why I Write (a re-run of a post featured on She Writes)
Sometimes I get quoted places and it’s really weird:
- Apartment 11D
- The Green Mom Eco-cosm
- Motherlands
- My Name Is Not Bob
- On Shine From Yahoo! and Strollerderby at Babble
If for some reason you really feel compelled to read everything I’ve done, I also have some academic work from my previous life:
- I wrote a chapter on Restraint Stress for the Encyclopedia of Stress edited by George Fink (it’s a page turner!)
- Learning and Motivation (2001): Stress Facilitates Acquisition of the Classically Conditioned Response at Both Long and Short Interstimulus Intervals (no, I don’t think you can get it on your Nook. Yet.)
Who would have thought there were two Kelly Coyle DiNorcias in this world? Or else Carol Adams has acknowledged me in the 20th anniversary edition of The Sexual Politics of Meat! (You find the weirdest things when you Google yourself…)
