About Kelly DiNorcia

I recently earned my M.Ed. in Humane Education through the Institute for Humane Education and Cambridge College, where I did my research on helping young children to develop a humane ethic towards animals, humans and the environment. Before that, I was a Ph.D. candidate in neuroscience, before that I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in experimental psychology...these days, I am a mother, wife, writer, blogger, teacher and activist. I am interested in education, parenting, environmentalism, media literacy, animal welfare, social justice, and the place where all these things meet and overlap. I spend my days in northwestern New Jersey USA washing sippy cups and small people, letting dogs into and out of the house (actually, now that my kids are getting older I'm spending more time stopping them from letting the dogs in and out!), caring for the eight beings who comprise my family, trying to think of ways to keep my six-year-old occupied that do not involve television, falling head-over-heels in love with my delicious blue-eyed toddler, and squeezing in moments at the computer or with a book.
